A recent post by u/pizzaguts discusses the song "The Seasons of My Love" and theorizes that the haircolor identified with spring is "sunrise" and that this is the color of Sansa's hair.
From A Wiki of Ice and Fire:
The order of each verse is not known, as the song has not yet been sung in its entirety within the books. Known verses include:
If we focus on the fact that the song is not completely revealed to the reader, a few obvious conclusions present:
The last line will appear in the books and we'll know the whole song.
I loved a maid as fair as spring with ______ in her hair.
The singer wrote from personal experience and only intended to catalog their loves, not maids generally, since raven hair and shades of brunette do not appear in the song. In such a case, the maid fair as spring likely did have "sunrise" in her hair.
I'd argue, the song is a construction designed to remind us there is no singer, but an author. Raven hair and shades of brunette do not appear in the song, despite being extrememly common in Westeros, to indicate the song is not "true."
