Committed to take the castle without breaking his oath to Catelyn, Jaime convenes a war council, removes Edmure from the gibbet and sends Ser Ryman Frey back to the Twins. Jaime negotiates with Edmure to take Riverrun in exchange for his family's safety.


Jaime treats with the Blackfish, but his promises can't be taken to mean anything, so the Blackfish rejects even his foolish offer of single combat.
