After she wakes from a dragon dream to find her fears have dissolved, Dany flexes her power enraging Viserys. Dany's bloodriders defend her from Viserys. Embracing the Dothraki as her people, Dany leads Drogo outside to conceive their son under the stars, where all things of importance happen.
What Are Dragon Dreams?
This is the chapter Caenerys decides to become pregnant. It's why she leads Drogo outside. It seems her dragon dream inspired curiosity about her black dragon egg, which has made her crave motherhood/to be fruitful.
No Place Like The Idea of Home
Dany is convinced Westeros is home, though she's barely glimpsed it and can't remember that glimpse. She doesn't even know what she feels isn't homesickness. Rid of Viserys's abuses, she has not lost the expectation that a Targaryen restoriation is somehow neccessary. Before long, she will try to be Aegon the Conqueror come again.
The Last Dragon
It's interesting that Rhaegar was called The Last Dragon when he had children. Was he named so after his death? Especially given that Viserys and Daenerys lived, it seems very random that Rhaegar would be called The Last Dragon.
Jorah's talk of ghost grass reminds of more than the threat of The Others.
HOME
Dany rides off alone because she would take off her shoes and watch her silver graze while she felt the earth between her toes. It may not be thought of, but raises the question of how long the Dothraki may camp on the Dothraki Sea. Must they always be moving? When Dany's child is born, how many nights will she be permitted to rest. How many can the landscape support?
