Jaime has been reduced to a state of infancy by his injury. He can only whimper in pain. Brienne cares for him and cautions him not to die a craven. In gratitude, when the Bloody Mummers come to gang rape Brienne, Jaime speaks loudly of Brienne's ransom of sapphires. Roose Bolton has Qyburn see to Jaime's stump, but does not speak of returning him to Riverrun.
